I hope you are all doing well.
We’re well here in Poland but I have some important news. My second child is due in the next week or so and so I am planing to take a little hiatus from the newsletter.
I have some videos ready to share but I want to make sure that I am fully present with my family during this time.
I’ll be back, but I hope you enjoy this final edition for a while.
Passage
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.
Psalm 5:3 NIV
Links
This week I set up my Obsidian publish vault. I had a few issues but it worked out in the end. And you can see my vault using the button below.
The Obsidian Reference Count Plugin
This may be one of the greatest plugins for Bible knowledge management. It adds a number to any block that has been referenced. Just click it and you can see what notes link to this block. You can turn this off (or keep it on) when you embed a block in another note.
This makes it perfect for seeing what notes have links when you go through the Bible or have verses in your notes.
You can download it from the community plugins in Obsidian.
Mind mapping in Obsidian with a bible verse? Yup! I’ve wanted to try Excalidraw for a while and this may be the final set needed to persuade me.
Input of the week: You are not your own
Alan Noble’s book — You Are Not Your Own — sounds very interesting and challenging to our cultural ideas focused on individual achievements and meaning. The interview in this podcast has really got me thinking.
Can I ask a favour?
I’ve enjoyed making this newsletter and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it. If you have, I’d love to get a quote from you that I could share with other people and show them why they should check it out.
If you don’t want your name attached, just say so and I can share it anonymously. Hit reply and let me know.
